Bank Hapoalim-ICC Summer Internship Program in Israel
Bank Hapoalim is offering an eight-week internship in Israel this summer to 20-25 outstanding business students from throughout the United States. Students who take part in this unique opportunity will gain a firsthand look into Israel’s banking industry and a deeper understanding of international financial markets. During the course of the internship, students will receive direct mentorship and supervision from seasoned banking professionals. However, the internship program is specially designed to provide students with a glimpse into all aspects of the bank’s work through weekly seminars, meetings with bank executives and visits to different offices. Interns will receive a $1,000 stipend for participation in the program. The internship will run from June 18 to Aug. 11, and participants are fully responsible for their own round-trip travel to Israel, as well as room and board. Fluency in Hebrew is not required to participate in the internship. Applicants must submit a copy of their resume; a signed and sealed letter of recommendation from a business school professor who can attest to the student’s character and intellect; an essay, no longer than one-page in length, detailing why an internship with Bank Hapoalim is of interest and what is to be gained from the experience; and an unofficial transcript to Bank Hapoalim-ICC Internship, Attn: Zach Gelman, Israel on Campus Coalition, 800 Eighth St. NW, Washington, DC 20001, or by e-mail to zgelman@israelcc.org. All applications must be received by Monday, April 24.
OSRUI Assistant
We are looking for a young man, a senior in high school or older, who is available to work at a Jewish overnight summer camp June 12 – July 2.
The pay is $550.
The job is to help our 10 year-old son have a successful first year experience. Our son has moderate ADHD. He has attended day camp for many summers and we anticipate he will adapt quite well. But we believe in planning for success, and so we are looking for a counselor who can live in his bunk and whose primary responsibility will be our son’s transition from activity to activity. The camp is Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI), a Reform camp, (kosher kitchen), in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The first week is staff week, required for all camp staff for orientation and training purposes. The next two weeks are with the campers.
